About me

Hi, I’m Ran — creator of Lusidore.

I’ve been building things with my hands since I was a teenager. From wooden toys and furniture to magnetic puzzles and lamps, I’ve always loved the quiet joy of turning simple materials into something meaningful.

Over the years, I’ve crafted dozens of one-of-a-kind objects for friends and family — always focusing on natural materials, minimal design, and long life. I love combining wood with subtle light, and using magnets or simple components to add just a bit of magic.

Though I come from a technical background in physics, math, and high-tech, my heart has always been drawn to design and craft. I work from a modest basement workshop, where I shape each piece by hand — with the same care and intention I put into everything I make.

Lusidore is my way of sharing that spirit.
It’s not a factory-made product. It’s a monthly, limited-edition creation — made slowly, in small batches, from natural wood and crystal, with a soft glow that invites quiet.

Thanks for being here. I hope Lusidore brings warmth and wonder into your space.

Pieces from the journey — some for Lusidore, some just for joy

Some of my previous experiments...

The Magic Wand

One of my earliest experiments with wood, magnets, and light. This wand glows when a special magnetic ring nears its handle — a quiet spell made real with simple elements.

It helped me realize how much wonder can come from the smallest gestures.

This “Magic Wand” was part toy, part curiosity — an early step in my journey combining crystals, magnets, and light. It sparked the ideas that would eventually become Lusidore: minimal, magical, and made by hand.

The tree of light

A later experiment in the Lusidore journey — crafted from a real olive tree branch, wired and shaped by hand. Every curve was a quiet negotiation with the wood’s natural will.

Delicate, earthy, and full of presence.

An early Lusidore study shaped from a real olive tree branch. I carefully hollowed, wired, and preserved its natural lines — letting the raw form stay honest while I brought light into it. It’s a quiet blend of nature’s asymmetry and human care.
