At First Light

I make each Lusidore lamp by hand, in small batches, from wood, stone, high end electric components and a bit of magic.

At the center is a soft circle of light — dormant, until it meets the raw amethyst crystal that comes with it. Place the stone gently into its heart, and the lamp begins to glow. Not sharply or suddenly, but slowly, like candlelight or breath. When the stone is removed, the glow fades back into stillness.

Inside, Lusidore holds a hand-assembled lighting element, designed to be simple, durable, and free of unnecessary complexity. No switches. No touch sensors. Just an intuitive, magnetic connection between crystal and light.

Once activated, the lamp glows for hours, then begins a slow, gentle fade throughout the night — as if it’s falling asleep with you. A full charge will keep the light running through a full night (~12 hours).
You can recharge it with any USB-C cable. It powers back up in about 15-30 minutes, ready to accompany another quiet evening.

About This Edition
“At First Light” marks the beginning of the Lusidore journey — and my first time sharing it beyond the walls of my workshop. I designed this edition around a simple, slightly rounded rectangle — a shape that felt honest, grounded, and true to the spirit of what I wanted to create. It’s the foundation, both in form and intention. Thoughtfully built, intentionally minimal, and full of quiet character, this piece carries the essence of Lusidore as I imagined it: a starting point for a series of evolving ideas, each one crafted with care and meant to last.

This Month’s Edition Features

• Solid white oak body, hand-finished with natural oil

Each edition is released monthly in limited quantities, often just a few dozen. Every lamp is individually signed and numbered.

No switches. No distractions. Just wood, stone, and soft light — in quiet harmony.

• Dimensions: ~18cm x 7.5cm x 2cm (approx. 7" x 3" x 3/4") – Each piece is individually handmade and may exhibit slight variations in size.

Warranty

I stand behind the components and material that I use and the way I build each Lusidore. Every lamp is crafted with durability and long-term-use in mind — so I offer a 1-year warranty on all editions. If your Lusidore ever stops working during that time (meaning the light no longer turns on when the stone is placed, even when connected to power), I’ll create a replacement and ship it to you, free of charge. This applies as long as the lamp and stone haven't been physically damaged.
